Summer in London: Our top spots

Posted 23 hours ago

What time is it? It's almost summer time!

The suns shining more and the temperatures are slowly going up, so let's get outdoors and explore. Whether you're looking for a day out with friends or thinking of a solo date, we've got you covered:

The Queen's Orchard 🍎

The Queen's Orchard is the perfect summer spot, surrounded by greenery and many growing fruits and vegetables. A great thing about this hidden gem is that you can pick the fruit, so if you're looking for a good apple-picking spot for you and your friends, then this will be right up your street!

Hackney City Farm 🐷

Only a 10-minute drive from the university, Hackney City Farm makes a great day out for summer. They've got pigs, donkeys, goats, ducks, as well as a beautiful garden to walk around. They also have classes you can join in on, such as evening pottery classes.

Neal's Yard 🥐

If you're looking to explore and venture outside of campus this summer, then you have to visit Neal's Yard. This is a vibrant, colourful courtyard in Covent Garden, with budget-friendly shops, cafés and, most importantly, Instagrammable spots!

St James Park 🌸

The royal of all Royal parks in London, St James Park, is the perfect picnic spot. You'll be surrounded by the beautiful greenery and blossoming flowers, whilst munching on your lunch, watching the world go by! Whether it's a solo date or you're going on a group outing, this park is a lovely place to wind down with some picky bits (and it's a 30-minute tube ride from campus).

With summer on the way, it's time to gather your mates and start making your bucket lists of things you want to do and places you want to see. Why not check out some more places to explore in London and add them to your list? ☀️
