Welcome to the First Edition of “Free Fun in London”!

Hello, QM explorers! Each month, we’ll bring you the best free exhibitions and activities happening around the vibrant city of London..

Every now and then, you’ll come across paid activities, but we’ll keep them budget-friendly to allow you to experience the city without braking the bank.

Art & Culture

• Experience an exciting programme of free lunchtime performances inspired by the heritage of the Royal Ballet and Opera every Friday. Live at Lunch events are free. Entry tokens will be available upon arrival from the Main Entrance on Bow Street or our Piazza entrance. Tokens will be issued on a first come first served basis.

• See the Natural World in a New Way. Outernet is the most visited cultural attraction in the UK, a virtually real entertainment district bringing together breath-taking arts, culture and music experiences for all the family. Discover free immersive experiences at Outernet from 10am to late every day.

Outdoor Activities

• Wander through enchanting light installations at this iconic location. Battersea Power Station Light Festival It’s a magical experience that brightens up the winter evenings, grab your Light Festival Map and wrap up warm! Until 23 February 2025.

• Go deer-spotting in beautiful Richmond Park, London’s largest royal park and a haven for wildlife. This Site of Special Scientific Interest is home to a remarkable range of flora and fauna, including a herd of 650 deer.

Secret Gardens

• If you want to avoid the crowds of the Sky Garden or simply haven’t been able to find tickets, The Garden at 120 offers stunning views of the London skyline. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy some greenery in the heart of the city.

Special Events

• Celebrate LGBTQ+ histories, cultures, and communities with events across London. From talks to exhibitions. LGBTQ+ History Month, From 1-28 February there’s plenty to explore.

• Get a glimpse of the latest fashion trends at the iconic London Fashion Week. While many shows require tickets, there are often free events and exhibitions open to the public.

Unique Experiences

• God’s Own Junkyard a vibrant collection of neon signs and artwork. It’s a visual feast and a great place for some quirky photos. Opens Friday to Sunday, check their website before visiting as they host private events.

There’s so much to do and explore around London. Remember what Dr. Samuel Johnson said: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.” With all these free activities, you’ll never get tired of this amazing city!
