Now that your first semester is well on its way, we hope you’ve settled into your new student accommodation. Proud of how your room turned out? Managed to make your space feel homely? This is your time to shine!

We’re hosting a photo competition for you to show off your excellent room décor skills. If you’ve transformed your halls into a home, have a quirky study set-up, or some Insta worthy furnishings we want to hear from you.

Your submissions will be featured on the Residential Life Instagram page, so make sure to only include what you want to be public. If your photo contains images of other people, make sure to get their consent before submission. We are also collaborating with the University’s central marketing team this year and the winning photos will feature in the 2026 Undergraduate Prospectus and other Queen Mary marketing materials!
