For students who hold Pre-settled / Settled status or those who are still eligible for a status under EUSS, the Advice and Counselling Service are very excited to announce that we are hosting an EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) Webinar on 8 Apr (Wed), 11:30 – 13:00!
The event is organised by the Queen MAry Advice and Counselling Service, in partnership with the3million and the immigration law firm, Seraphus. Some of you may remember that back in December, I sent out a survey by email to see if people would be interested in such an event. A big thank you to those who have filled out the survey.
It is now confirmed that on the day, Anna Hawkes, immigration solicitor and Legal Services Manager at Seraphus, will present on topics of interests on the EU Settlement Scheme, including recent changes to the scheme. Near the end of the webinar, there will be a Q&A session for you to raise any questions you have regarding the content of the webinar or anything relating to EUSS. These could include but are not limited to:
- If you are currently holding a Pre-settled status and not sure if you qualify for Settled status or how to upgrade to Settled status?
- If you wish to have your family members to join you in the UK and not sure if they would be eligible under EUSS?
- Whether any recent changes made to EUSS may affect you
- Any issues in applying to EUSS, including an EUSS Family Permit
- Any issues in accessing or proving your EUSS status online via your UKVI (eVisa) account
If your situation is complicated, please send in your questions beforehand when you register and provide as many details as you can. This will allow Anna time to look at your case before the webinar to better address your questions.
This is the first time we’ve partnered up with the3million and Seraphus in delivering additional services to our students. Depending on the engagement level and feedback of this time’s webinar, we may seek further collaborations with our partners, including hosting further information sessions and/or advice surgeries where students can get 1:1 advice with a Seraphus immigration lawyer.
Register to reserve a place for the webinar on Eventbrite, mark it on your calendar, and join the webinar on Microsoft Teams on 8 Apr (Wed), at 11:30! We hope to see you at the webinar!
Note: The mentioned event only covers the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). If you require UK immigration support that is not EUSS related (e.g. queries relating to your Student visa or Graduate visa application), please contact us on AskQM.
