Our magnificent Operations Team is here, so let's get to know them. You may see them working hard around campus - stop by, say hi and feel free to ask them any questions you have!
Located in and around all the Queen Mary Halls at Mile End, Charterhouse Square and Whitechapel, the team are often out and about and the first point of contact for you, our residents in halls.

Favourite thing about living in London: There are so many places to eat, explore and socialise. I really enjoy the variety and opportunities London offers to meet new people and experience different cultures.
What advice would you give your first-year students?: Enjoy your university experience and make the most of every opportunity, as it can help prepare you for your future. Build connections with fellow students, gain experience in your field of study through volunteering opportunities, and, if possible, consider working while studying to develop valuable skills and experiences.

What advice would you give first-year students?: Be open to new friendships. Some of the people you meet in first year will become lifelong friends!

Your favourite thing about living in London: Food spots in East London, shopping for fabrics, nightlife in Peckham & Shoreditch and music festivals.
What advice would you give first-year students?: Balancing discipline and leisure becomes easier with intention. Keep going even when things don't go quite right.

Your favourite thing about living in London: You're genuinely never bored in London - there's always something to do, somewhere to go or something new to discover.
What advice would you give first-year students?: Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're unsure about something, have a question, or are struggling with anything, speak to someone. It never hurts to ask, and it's always better to ask early than let something become a bigger problem.

Your favourite thing about living in London: London is one of the greenest cities in the world! I love spending a sunny day in my local park, Alexandra Palace, which also has an amazing view of London. I enjoy attending music gigs and sporting events, particularly football and ice hockey, as well as visiting galleries and exhibitions. London is an incredibly historic, diverse and culturally rich city, with so much to explore!
What advice would you give first-year students?: Everyone Everyone is in the same position as you, so don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! Stay safe, but be curious. University is a great time to explore, try new things and work out who you are.
