One moment you're trying to figure out your lecture rooms and meeting new people, and the next you’re taking graduation pictures and saying goodbye to a life that became your normal for the last few years.
So, before university becomes just memories and camera roll nostalgia, here are a few things you should do before you graduate.
Book a Campus Tour and Reminisce
Walk through campus one more time and take it all in. The buildings, study spots, random corners, and little routines that once felt ordinary suddenly become emotional when you realise you might never experience them the same way again.
Do One Proper Night Out With Your Friends
Not the quick “let’s just go for a bit” type. A proper university night out filled with random conversations, blurry pictures, late-night food, and moments you’ll laugh about years later.
Turn Graduation Outfit Shopping into a Memory
Go shopping with your university friends instead of doing it alone. Take mirror pictures, grab food afterwards, and enjoy the process together. Sometimes the small moments become the most memorable ones.
Explore London Properly
Especially if you’re an international student. Visit the landmarks, do the touristy things you kept postponing, and spend a day appreciating the city you called home during university.
Create a University "Reality Show" Video
Collect old clips, random videos, pictures, voice notes, and memories from throughout uni and turn them into a short montage. Years later, hearing those voices and seeing those moments again will mean everything.
Revisit Your Favourite Spots
Your coffee place, library corner, canal spot, or favourite bench on campus. Visit them properly one last time before leaving.
Reconnect With People
Reach out to professors, classmates, or course mates you never really got to speak to properly before. Thank the people who helped you and stay connected. A little networking genuinely goes a long way, and so do relationships.
Create a University Bucket List
Make a list of everything you've always wanted to do before leaving university; then actually do it. Whether it's visiting a London landmark, trying a new café, or taking a spontaneous day trip, tick off every item before graduation.
Take a picture or Polaroid after each one and turn them into a scrapbook. It'll be a special way to remember your final months at university.
Romanticise the Little Things
The commute playlists. Meal deals. Last-minute submissions. Study sessions. Coffee before lectures. One day, these tiny routines will become the memories you look back on the most.
Appreciate the People Around You
After graduation, life moves fast. People move cities, countries, and jobs. So, before everyone goes their separate ways, appreciate the people who made university feel like home.
Because at the end of the day, university is remembered less for lectures and deadlines, and more for the people, memories, and moments in between.
