Help us build a better experience for international students

Starting a new life in the UK as an international student can be exciting, but it also comes with challenges. From immigration paperwork to finding your feet in a new culture, the journey isn’t always easy.

That’s why Queen Mary is launching Navigating Immigration and Wellbeing in the UK, an interactive workshop designed to listen to your experiences and turn them into action. Using Menti, you can share your thoughts anonymously, and our team will provide practical guidance to help you overcome common hurdles. There will be time for discussion (if you feel confident to do so).

This isn’t just about today, it’s about shaping the future. Your input will help us create a roadmap of support for future international students at Queen Mary.

We’ll run two sessions:

  • Start of the year challenges Share your start-of-year challenges – 28 November 2025
  • End of year challenges Reflect on your end-of-course experience, transition to work visas or career plans (TBC).

When: 28 November 2025

Where: Laws:100 – Laws Building

Time: 10:00 – 11:30

The session is scheduled to last 1.5 hours to allow discussion, please bring your phone to answer the questions using Mentimeter.

We kindly ask that if you register for this workshop, you make every effort to attend. The success of this event depends on active participation, as your insights will help us create a meaningful roadmap of support for future international students. Your contribution is valuable, and we truly appreciate your commitment.

Help us and make a difference!
