For those affected by sexual assault, violaton or violence
This group offers a peer-support space for individuals who have experienced sexual assault, violation or violence at any time in their lives. It provides a space to discuss topics and impacts around sexual assault and violence while also exploring coping strategies that people have found useful in the past. Participants will also receive a selection of resources that they can use in their own time.
The group will be facilitated by one of our Sexual Assault and
Harrassment Advisers and a Student Wellbeing Adviser. The group is
available to those of any or no gender.
A safe, supportive space to:
- Understand trauma and its impacts
- Discuss experiences of sexual assault, violation, and violence
- Explore coping strategies and resources
- Take part in group discussions, small groups, and paired activities
Location: Mile End Campus
Time: Mondays, 10:00-12.30pm
Dates: 23 February, 2 March, 9 March, 16 March, 23 March, 30 March
Attendance at all 6 sessions is required
Open to any QM student seeking peer-support, understanding and resources.
Registration can be made online and further information will then be provided regarding the sessions.
