Celebrating Black History Month at the Horniman Museum

In Dulwich, South London, overlooking beautiful views of the city, is the historic Horniman Museum and Gardens. Dedicated to showcasing global cultures and the natural environment, this is a true treasure trove of knowledge and discovery. And this month? ResLife is coming to visit!

Family Threads: Heart, Home and History is a photography display that showcases the family history of its African and Caribbean Community Researchers. These family photos span from 1900 to the 1970s, featuring Nigeria, South Africa, Trinidad, Antigua and the UK.

This is the perfect opportunity for any history buffs (or casual enjoyers) to explore the threads of family, migration and home through the perspective of Black history. With the added benefit of an adventure into South London, what's not to love?

Meet us at Residences Reception at 1pm on Saturday 11th October. Don't forget to bring an Oyster or debit card to cover travel costs!
