Practical Support for Everyday Living
Rising energy bills, confusing tariffs, and homes that never quite stay warm, energy can feel complicated and overwhelming. This practical, down-to-earth workshop is designed to cut through the jargon and help you feel more confident managing energy at home.
Delivered by Tower Hamlets’ Home Energy Advice Programme, the session offers clear, useful guidance on how energy works in everyday life. From understanding fuel poverty and payment options, to keeping your home warm, healthy, and affordable. The workshop also brings together the range of local support, schemes, and advice available to help residents save money and improve energy efficiency.
This session is particularly valuable for students and staff who support others, work in community-facing roles, or simply want to better understand how to manage energy costs for themselves or their households. You don’t need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Participants will gain practical knowledge about managing household energy, understanding tariffs and payment methods, and improving comfort at home while reducing costs. You’ll also learn about local support and schemes available to residents, and have the option to explore further training opportunities, including becoming an Energy Champion.
