Weekly wellbeing walk
What is it?
It is a weekly wellbeing walk + talk group that is open
to all Queen Mary students who identify as men. The group, consisting of up
to 10 people, lasts 1h 45 mins and runs for 6 weeks.
Why should I join?
It offers the opportunity to connect with yourself, fellow students and to explore the local area, come rain or shine! The walk itself may involve some simple guided meditation techniques and lasts approx. 1 hour 45 mins. This will be followed by a reflective space with opportunities to pause, reflect and discuss topics relevant to men’s mental health in a safe and confidential way. Please note, this is not a traditional therapeutic group.
When is it?
The course will run weekly every Wednesday afternoon for 6 weeks starting on Wednesday 29th October 2025 to Wednesday 10th December 2025 inclusive with a break on Wednesday 19th November. You are expected to attend all six dates to get the most from the course. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early because we will leave promptly for the walk at 3pm. Anyone arriving late to the walk who would still like to attend the reflective space can do so by waiting outside the room (details to follow). However, once the doors are closed, late members will not be allowed to join so as not to disrupt the group.
Where can I find out more information?
For more information or questions about the group please email both Vuong Ngo (v.n.t.ngo@qmul.ac.uk) and Jonathan Pinto (j.pinto@qmul.ac.uk).
