National HIV Testing Week
National HIV Testing Week will be taking place from 6th February - 12th February and is a great reminder to test at least once a year.
Positive East are offering free, fast, confidential, and non-judgemental HIV and/or STI testing in a range of venues around East London. These locations range from libraries, pharmacies, bars, and even from their mobile testing van! They aim to make testing as accessible and convenient as possible, so not only do they have a choice of locations, they offer weekend and evening testing.
The tests couldn't be easier, all you have to do is prick your finger and you'll find out your results during the appointment, to find out more, visit Positive East's website.
Positive East will be on-campus on Tuesday 7th February for STI Testing, for more information and events, check out our Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week article.
Positive East's Head of Prevention & Testing, Peter Bampton says 'Testing is the only way to know your HIV status. National HIV Testing Week (6th-12th February 2023) is a great reminder to test at least once a year. Whether it's your first test or you're testing frequently, you'll be supported with information and advice on the ways to prevent or treat HIV, and tips on how to explore the sex you want to be having.'
