Climate Action Week 2024

Climate action week is back! Join students and staff in a united effort for a greener, more sustainable future (and campus!).

Climate action week is a chance to engage in sustainability initiatives across campus and learn more about what’s going on at the university and in the wider community.

The best part? Anyone can attend! The events are open to students, academics and staff. Just check in advance whether you need to sign up to your chosen activity.

Big Green Canal Clean

Monday February 19th

11:45am - 2pm, Canalside

Time to get outdoorsy and unite with like-minded people in an effort to make the canal a cleaner and better place for us all the enjoy! Free hot chocolate for all volunteers.

Recycle your Cycle

Tuesday February 20th

10am - 4pm, Library Square

Tired of busy busses and packed tubes? Why not buy a bicycle! Choose from a selection of refurbished bicycles and commit to sustainably getting around the city.

Plant and Grow Your Own Herbs

Thursday February 22nd

3pm - 4pm, Zero Waste Shop

Nothing like fresh herbs straight from the garden to spice up your meals! Come down to the zero waste shop to learn all about potting your own herbs and put your new skills into action.

Wardrobe Refresh Fair

Friday February 23rd

10am  - 11:30am, Blomeley 1 & 2

Looking for a sustainable wardrobe makeover? Sign up for the wardrobe refresh fair and find some unique pieces donated by fellow students.
